All our products and events encourage and support the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, particularly the young, to reach their full potential.

Additionally, we are committed to showcasing contemporary Aboriginal culture through music, the arts and sport, and regularly spotlight people from all walks of life achieving in their chosen fields.

Vibe Australia is committed to reinforcing the importance of completing a full secondary education, continuing with further education, and successfully securing employment and training opportunities. We pride ourselves on profiling positive role models and running up-beat news stories for Indigenous young people to read, as we feel such coverage is lacking in the mainstream media.

While we often focus on high-profile musicians and sportspeople we are also committed to recognising the unsung heroes of the Aboriginal community, such as those working on the ground to improve living standards, revive culture and create stronger communities. Our vision is that all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will reach their full potential.

Deadly Vibe advocates healthy lifestyles, Indigenous pride and a responsible, positive outlook on life in a no-nonsense format. Boasting 32 full-colour pages, Deadly Vibe is read and enjoyed by Indigenous people of all ages. Each issue contains profiles of notable Indigenous identities and up-and-comers, features on Aboriginal sport, music and culture, and targeted information about good health, education and training. Our star columnist, Cathy Freeman, has written a monthly column for the magazine for the past four years.

Deadly Vibe currently has a distribution rate of 57,000 copies per month, easily making it the largest publication of its kind in Australia. The magazine's pass-on rate is very high, as found by independent research group Cultural Perspectives when they evaluated the magazine and its readership. Sixty-two per cent of readers who receive their own copy of Deadly Vibe reported that their copy is read by more than three people.

Deadly Vibe contributes to the popularity of its sister weekly radio program, Deadly Sounds, broadcast on more than 250 Indigenous, community and remote transmitter radio stations across Australia. Hosted by well-known Indigenous broadcaster, artistic director and author, Rhoda Roberts, Deadly Sounds interviews a wide range of studio guests, from Cathy Freeman to Deb Mailman, Anthony Mundine to Casey Donovan. The program has now been on-air for more than ten years.

The National Indigenous 3on3 Basketball and Hip-Hop Challenge (Vibe 3on3™) brings Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and communities together for a fun-filled weekend of sport, music and self-expression. Now in its sixth year, the Vibe 3on3™ is about promoting healthy lifestyles, building sporting skill and self-esteem, improving social and emotional wellbeing - and having a great time! The Vibe 3on3™ also provides local organisations with a popular vehicle through which to promote themselves and their services to the community.

Hosted by former Harlem Globetrotter "Smiling" Dwayne Cross and former Sydney Kings coach Claude "Starsky" Williams, the Vibe 3on3™ is Australia's premier Indigenous sporting, music and youth cultural event. Visiting eight to 10 communities each year, the Vibe 3on3™ is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander event for our community, our family and all our friends. Everybody is welcome!

Since 1995, Vibe Australia has hosted The Deadlys - the National Indigenous Music, Sport, Entertainment & Community Awards. The Deadlys recognises and showcases excellence by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across the full spectrum of Australian music, sport, entertainment & community. The Deadlys are held at the Sydney Opera House and broadcast nationally on SBS Television.
